The Bangladesh Agricultural Extension Society (BAES) is a unique forum of professionals interested and involved in the discipline of agricultural extension. Born in 1982 in the then Department of Agricultural Extension and Teachers’ Training of the Bangladesh Agricultural University campus, the society has become a common platform of academicians, researchers, extension experts and field level staff, postgraduate students in different fields of agricultural sciences, and professionals engaged in development agencies both in Bangladesh and abroad. The society regularly organised professional and academic events such as seminar talk series, symposium, biennial conferences and workshops on time needed and contemporary issues. The society regularly publishes Bangladesh Journal of Extension Education (BJEE), a six-monthly journal with scholarly articles on different issues of extension education and research outcomes.
